Camp Bow Wow Coppell Trainer Teaches Her 100th Class

Camp is about romping and rolling, no doubt about that, but it’s also about sit, stay and roll over! Just ask Tracy Allard, a dog trainer at Camp Bow Wow Coppell in Texas, who recently celebrated a pretty impressive doggy day care milestone — her 100th obedience class.

Tracy has been a member of the Camp Coppell pack since 2014 and holds a certification for Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge and Skills Assessed (CPDT-KSA). Sounds impressive, right? What’s even more impressive is that she is one of less than a dozen in the state of Texas!

Training dogs wasn’t always on Tracy’s career path, but loving dogs sure was! As a corporate sales professional for many years, she would always bring her dogs to Camp while she traveled for business — which usually ended up being an average of 150,000 miles per year. So, after retiring she knew just what to do with the next phase of her life.

“Now I live one mile from work and spend my day with not just my own dogs, but clients’ as well.”

Tracy teaches beginner, intermediate and advance group-training classes in a 400-square-foot training room at Camp Bow Wow Coppell. For those that do better in a more personalized teaching environment, she also conducts at-Camp and in-home private training and behavior modification services. But that’s not all! On top of training dogs, she also volunteers her behavioral analysis, training and photography skills (her other passion) to local shelters and rescue groups to help pups in need be placed in their fur-ever home.

“One great picture of a pet means a better chance at adoption… It’s very gratifying to see a cute picture posted on Facebook blow up with comments and shares and quickly move an animal out of the shelter.”

Tracy’s 100-class milestone comes on the heels of another exciting feat — Camp Bow Wow Coppell having just celebrated their 10-year anniversary this past October. Just two exciting announcements to kick off another year of Camp Bow Wow success!
